The Fresno Monsters head to San Diego to take on the Sabers tonight at 7:45 p.m. PT at the Iceoplex. Tune in on Black Dog Hockey and on Twitter for the action.
NOTES Tonight's game is the first of three tilts between the Fresno Monsters and Sabers this weekend.
The Monsters are coming off two weeks of rest heading into to tonight's game but the Monsters remained vigilant as they upped their strength and conditioning training with Coach Bullett and increased their time on the ice for practice.
There was also a roster transaction made by Coach Karasiewicz trading defencemen Emmett Rupert to Southern Oregon and picking up forward Bjorn Geerts from the Netherlands.
In their last game, San Diego was finally able to defeat the Avalanche at Anaheim Ice and cleared the road hurdle. A very tight game started with a scoreless first frame and San Diego taking initiative with 11 shots compared to Ontario’s seven.
San Diego currently sits in fourth in the Western Division behind Fresno.

KEYS TO THE GAME Silence The Roar: San Diego's two biggest wins this season has been at home. If Fresno can quickly transition out of their own zone and prevent the Sabers from establishing their forecheck, there will be fewer opportunities for them to roar back.
Keep Rolling On The Road: Fresno is 6-for-10 on the road with this series marking their last road trip before returning home for their first games at Gateway Ice Center.
