A Thank You To Our Fans

While this season may not have ended how we imagined, the Fresno Monsters — including the players, coaches, and staff — are again eternally grateful for the love and support that our fans and the Central Valley have shown us throughout the 2020-21 season.

For the past eleven seasons, we have enjoyed the support of Monster Nation, the best and most loyal fans in hockey.

Together, in 2020-21, we achieved some amazing feats. From joining the United States Premier Hockey League, becoming Pacific Division champions, going to the National Championships, to having the youngest coaching staff in franchise and league history - we couldn't have done this without your support!

The Monsters continue to place paramount importance on the health and safety of our customers, players, staff, officials, and all of their families and look forward to returning to the ice inside of Selland Arena in the upcoming season. We know it was disappointing not being able to attend games in person this season but we’ll be cheering together again soon.

"I want to personally thank all of our loyal and dedicated fans in the Central Valley for trusting in me to coach the Fresno Monsters and carry on the blue-collar work ethic that was laid down by the many legendary coaches before me. I would also like to thank my assistant coaches - Artem Verbenko, Mark Shroyer, and Daylon Mannon for coming on this season to help me coach and recruit this great group of extremely talented players. A special thanks to all of our staff members and Owner/General Manager Jeff Blair, your hard work and sacrifices to make sure we perform at the highest level doesn't go unnoticed. I'm excited to begin work on the upcoming season and I can't wait to see everyone at Selland Arena." - Head Coach Cody Key.

"On behalf of the entire Monsters organization, I can not thank our billet families enough for all that you do. You not only provide housing and meals but you're also our biggest fans. This has been a crazy year of ups and downs but you all hung in there and helped make this season a success." - Billet Coordinator Sandi Hiatt.

"It’s been a privilege watching another crop of young stars making their way in the world of hockey. This year’s Monsters have a lot to be proud of, and I can’t wait to see the team Head Coach Cody Key assembles for the 2021-22 season." - Play by Play Broadcaster John English.

"In one of the most difficult years in franchise history, our fans always stayed upbeat and loyal. We will never forget that, and we look forward to a wonderful off-season where we can give you a glimpse of the upcoming season." - Broadcast Producer Darren Redmond.

"A heartfelt thank you to all of the Monsters players and staff. Congratulations to Head Coach Cody Key on a great first season. A big thank you to the players' families from around the world who helped with making sure we had the best home game coverage possible. And last but not least to Jeff Blair, for doing everything you can to keep hockey alive in Fresno." - Monsters Pre Game Host Kala Mullaney.

"As this unique season comes to a close, we want you the fans to know, we missed seeing you all at the games. Thank you for tuning in every game. It made us bring our “A” game every time to give you the best viewing possible. So thank you to all of the fans, the players, and ownership for our inaugural season in USPHL. See you next season, GO MONSTERS!!!" - Monsters Pre Game Host Brian Rivera.

Again, from all the players, coaches, and staff of the Fresno Monsters, THANK YOU!
